Delete your myna account

Last updated: 11 May 2026

You can permanently delete your myna household, your account, and all associated data at any time. This page explains the two ways to do it and exactly what gets removed.

How to delete your account

Option 1 — From inside the app (recommended)

  1. Open the myna app on your phone.
  2. Sign in as the household administrator (the parent who created the household).
  3. Go to Settings → Account → Delete household.
  4. Confirm with your parent PIN.
  5. Your household and all member data are queued for deletion within 30 days.

Option 2 — By email

If you can no longer access the app (lost device, deleted app, forgotten PIN), email [email protected] from the email address registered on your myna account.

Include in your email:

We respond within 7 business days and complete deletion within 30 days of confirming your identity (per PDPA / GDPR timelines).

What gets deleted

What is retained, and for how long

For legal, security, and accounting reasons, a small amount of data is kept after deletion:

Third-party services

myna integrates with several third parties. Deletion of your myna account triggers deletion or disconnection from these services:

Children's accounts

Kid accounts are administered by the household parent. Deleting the household automatically deletes all kid accounts. A parent can also delete an individual kid account from Settings → Family → [Kid name] → Remove from household, which deletes that kid's messages, tasks, and location history specifically.

Reactivation

Once deleted, accounts cannot be recovered. To use myna again, sign up for a new household. Old message history, tasks, and family map data will not be restored.
